Native to South India, these medium grained rice varieties are a hot favourite among many western and southern Indian communities. These have found their way to countries in the west and have been well accepted as a staple there. One is not to underestimate these products since they are often sold at prices at par with their Basmati counterparts which is testament to their superior taste.
